All wish they were more energized during the day. You naturally cycle between cycles of increased activity and periods of relaxation. When we need more resources and focus than we have, we have a challenge. Even when we go to relax but are unable to do so. Follow these 8 triggers that boost your energy to a new you!

1. Maintain a consistent sleep pattern & boost your energy.

You can’t sit up late on the weekend and then get up refreshed on Monday morning. If you like later nights on Friday and Saturday, make a promise to yourself to go to bed early on Sunday so you can wake up refreshed.

2. Stay away from the sugar and caffeine highs and lows.

In the morning, eat some protein and fat-rich ingredients. Protein is needed by the brain, and the body does not store it. You don’t need anything to get going—a bottle of low-fat milk, a slice of cheese, or a couple of nuts would suffice rather than pure carbohydrates like a simple bagel.

3. At lunchtime, take a 5- to 10-minute power nap to boost your energy.

You’ll be refreshed for the afternoon or though you just shut your eyes and let your mind wander. This is also useful if you find yourself unable to concentrate while reading the same content over and over again. Allow yourself to rest for a few moments and give in to the temptation.

Everyone tells you to drink more water. However, most Americans are dehydrated all of the time as a result of their caffeine-filled coffee, tea, and sodas. For a hectic calendar, this is better said than done. When completing routine tasks like ascending a flight of stairs or doing domestic work, a lack of conditioning causes you to be out of breath and your heart to race. You’re aware of who they are. They will not improve, but they will depress you and your mood. If we tolerate it, the complainers, gossipers, and otherwise miserable souls we all encounter on a daily basis rob our resources. Be courteous, so stop complaining or being engrossed in their never-ending issues.

8. Take high-quality vitamins on a regular basis.

Our food and diets clearly do not have the necessary nutrients for optimal health. There’s a distinction to be made between preventing dietary shortages and achieving peak results.
